● Managing Ticketing System: Service Desk Engineers are responsible for overseeing the ticketing system, which serves as a central hub for tracking and resolving technical issues faced by client company employees. This system helps maintain the health and functionality of company assets.
● Point of Contact (POC): Service Desk Engineers serve as the primary point of contact for any issues that require on-site resolution. They liaise with manufacturer repair personnel when specialized troubleshooting is necessary, ensuring quick and accurate problem resolution.
● Collaboration with Client IT Department: A crucial aspect of this role is collaborating with the client company's IT department. Service Desk Engineers work closely with the client's IT team to understand their specific needs and requirements, aiming to streamline processes and offload some of the Help Desk call center workload.
● Education and Guidance: Service Desk Engineers actively engage with client company employees to educate and guide them on resolving common IT issues independently. This proactive approach reduces the volume of calls to the Help Desk call center, improving overall efficiency.
● Documentation: One of the key responsibilities is to meticulously document each troubleshooting step. This documentation adheres to the authorized client company software and security protocols, ensuring the safety and integrity of the client company's intellectual data.

On-site Route Marshall Manager (Volunteer) March 2015 – April 2018
● Leadership and Training: As a Volunteer Leader, my foremost responsibility is to lead and guide marshalling personnel, ensuring that each member understands their role and responsibilities. I take pride in fostering a culture of commitment to safety among volunteers.
● Medical Preparedness: I am dedicated to always guaranteeing the presence of a medic on-site. Additionally, I oversee the management of water points and snack stations along the race route, ensuring that these crucial aspects of the event are well-maintained, even in cases of manpower surplus or shortage.
● Expertise Deployment: Leveraging my expertise in cycling, I am often assigned to U-turn points and remote areas along the race route, furthest from the start and end points. This strategic placement allows me to promptly respond to any incidents or concerns in these critical locations.
● Communication Assurance: Effective communication is vital during marathons. I take proactive measures to ensure that communication channels along the entire route remain open and reliable. My goal is to prevent any extended periods of radio silence, enabling swift response to any emerging situations.
